"I saw your painting of the hands clipping the toe nails and I thought it was very brilliant. When I first looked at it I thought it was original and funny. When I looked at it a few times later I realized that the newspapers on the wall were very serious and very sad and then I saw the irony that you meant. At this point I felt like CRYING. It affected me greatly. I admire this kind of work VERY much. I am looking forward to seeing more. It is tremendously intelligent and exciting. I still think and hope that you will be very successful, hopefully in the near future. I enjoy your friendship."

"I saw your work here online and I'm a 48 yr old graphic design student in a community college. One of my subject is figure drawing and when I saw your painting in a prepared paper or canvas(that one with a newspaper in the background) I got emotionally attached to your work that it open a door for new approach on it. I'm learning john singer sargents painting and yours is just like his. I just want to express my gratitude for being an inspiration to me, I started late but that does not hinder me to follow my dream. Thanks again and take care."

"I saw your work on juxtapoz and checked out your site. It looks awesome. I am an artist myself in Kansas City and like what you said looking for truth in the human form. I think that is what I am doing, too. My subjects are usually outsiders, the cut-off, etc. My website is below. Anyway, I just wanted to tell you that I like your work alot. Good luck with everything."

"I was impressed by your recent work on newspaper. Your other work is excellent but is academic and does not have the power that your new work has. You will profit from exploring those ideas expressed concerning world events and images on paper. Yes, they are simple yet complex and sensitive."
p.s. two years ago I did a drawing on newspaper as well, very large, mural size, inspired by three women i say crossing Wilshire blvd. in L.A. They were all blind holding on to each other and trying to cross with traffic bearing down, they had no guide and there was no sound signal for them either. It was freighting for sure. They finally made it a cross safely. I was compelled to make a drawing and had hope to make a painting but never reached that point. My piece is not nearly as well done as yours but it felt right, and that is what I sense in yours. I encourage you strongly to follow that work you are doing, it will lead you to yourself and to the world.
